#PARADOXMAFIA FAQ: ANSWERING QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR LUCKY STAR BLEMISH PATCHES - Paradox

Along with making top of the line, hard working products, we at Paradox also work to make sure our customers truly know what they’re getting. This means writing informative blog posts about the  ingredients in our products, as well as frequently answering questions about our products and our brand over on our  Instagram DMs.

Since we tend to get a decent flow of questions from new members of the Paradox community, we figured we’d hop on our blog and answer our most common questions. Keep reading to learn more about our best-selling product: Lucky Star Blemish Patches!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) HOW DO THEY WORK?

Our Lucky Star Blemish Patches are small, star shaped ‘stickers’ that go over your blemish and work to flatten the acne flare up and remove its impurities. By putting a blemish patch on, you create a concentrated, sealed area of healing for the blemish. It is shielded from the toxicity and bacteria of its surroundings and is instead enveloped in natural, superhero ingredients meant to heal and nourish the breakout(s) for lasting results.

2) HOW LONG SHOULD I WEAR THEM?

The length of time depends on the severity of the blemish itself. For smaller breakouts, an hour could be sufficient. For bigger breakouts, it is recommended to wear the blemish patch for six hours, as this gives it plenty of time to really soothe and heal the covered area. Sometimes, it may take two wears, six hours each, to really heal abig breakout一 you know, like the painful ones you get  around your period. But, overall, five to six hours usually does the trick! You could even wear it during the day (try wearing it  under your mask while you run errands) or overnight while you get your beauty sleep!

3) WHAT IS HYDROCOLLOID?

Hydrocolloid is one of the main ingredients in our Lucky Star Blemish Patches.  Hydrocolloid is a gel-like substance that absorbs excess fluids and pus from acne breakouts. This helps to speed up healing time and leave the pimple flatter than it was before.

4) WHAT ARE THE MAIN INGREDIENTS?

Along with hydrocolloid, our Lucky Stars are made with tea tree and calendula oil.  Tea Tree Oil is anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, meaning it works to calm swelling and reduce redness near the breakout. Calendula oil works to fight against infection by promoting new tissue growth to cover and heal wounds.

5) ARE THEY ACTUALLY EFFECTIVE?

We’ve seen a lot of people say that they used to think blemish patches were overhyped and that they didn’t think they would actually be effective in healing their acne. We could tell you ourselves that they really do work, but I think it’d be better to let our customers tell you themselves:

Samantha, verified customer:They seemed gimmicky and like they’d never work for my notoriously tough-to-deal-with acne. I figured since I was dealing with a breakout that I’d try it because the ingredients were natural and I didn’t think it could make my skin much worse. But WOW was I shocked that they worked and worked WELL. This is the first product I’ve sought out and reordered after getting it in a seasonal box and I absolutely would recommend this to anybody.

Alyssa, verified customer:I had a pimple that was big, red and painful and remembered I had these. Put one on overnight and my pimple shrunk. It was like witchcraft. I put another one on and it’s completely gone. I have told everyone I knew about these. They are amazing.”

Gina, verified customer: “I had recently purchased a different brand of patches that were more expensive and the Lucky Stars worked so much better than the other patches I'd been using. I was legitimately distressed when I realized I was running low, so I got a bunch more. Also, being cruelty free and from a small, women-founded business is a huge plus in my book.”
