HOME BEAUTY REMEDIES - Paradox

Have you ever needed a remedy for puffy eyes, dry lips or a quick pick me up face mask? I know I’ve definitely been there. Luckily, I have a few remedies up my sleeve. The best part: you can do these quick remedies at home! They’re great for sensitive skin and all natural, of course!

1 / STRAWBERRY & HONEY EXFOLIATING FACIAL SCRUB

Ingredients: 9 strawberries, 3 tablespoons of honey

Cut the strawberries into slices and mash. Add the honey to create a mixture. Apply thoroughly and leave on for 10 – 15 minutes. After rinsing, don’t forget to rehydrate with a moisturizer. (Our  Retinol Serum hydrates while increasing the production of collagen to reduce wrinkles. It’s never too early to prevent aging skin!)

Benefits: Not only does this simple scrub remove dead skin, it also helps brighten dull complexion.

2 / APPLE CIDER VINEGAR TONER

Ingredients: raw apple cider vinegar (1 part), water (2 parts)

Pour organic raw apple cider vinegar and filtered water into a bottle. Then, shake to mix. After washing your face, apply your apple cider vinegar toner with a cotton pad while avoiding your eyes. For additional nutrients, you may also add tea tree oil or your favorite essential oil. Finish up by applying your go to moisturizer when your skin has completely dried.(Try our deeply hydrating  Marrakech Liquid Gold moisturizing oil to maintain healthy and radiant skin.)

Benefits:This quick DIY toner helps to reduce the appearance of pores and get rid of acne scars and age spots.

3 / GREEN TEA DE-PUFFER

Ingredient: green tea bags

Cool a few green tea bags in the fridge for a natural under eye de-puffer! Take them out of the fridge when cold. Apply to your eyes for about 10 minutes and rinse.

Benefits:  Aside from calming puffy eyes, green tea is a natural way to relieve dry eyes. It also treats dark circles and has antioxidant effects.

4 / COCONUT LIP SCRUB

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey

Mix the coconut oil, sugar and honey in a bowl. Apply the mixture to your lips and massage gently. When finished, rinse off the scrub.

Benefits: This will help get rid of dead skin cells and keep your lips soft all day. It’s perfect for the winter time!

5 / AVOCADO AND OATMEAL MASK

Ingredients: half an avocado, ¼ cup of oatmeal, 2 tablespoons of honey

Blend your avocado, oatmeal and honey together. When combined, apply the mixture on your face and leave on for about 10 – 15 minutes. Massage into your skin as you rinse.

Benefits: This mask will reduce redness and naturally moisturize while leaving your skin glowing and radiant.
