Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

“I grew up in Louisville but went to college in Chicago. I majored in fashion business and worked in retail for a while after graduating. Then, I moved to LA and I’ve lived here for a little over 2 years now. I currently work on the social media team at  Prettylittlething as an influencer admin assistant!”

Q: What does being an influencer mean to you?

“It’s funny because I’ve never actually considered myself an influencer, but I love the platform so much because you can interact with so many people and be inspired by all of these amazing women. I’ve even been lucky enough to build great friendships through Instagram, as well. To me, an influencer is someone who uses their platform in many ways, besides just sharing fashion and beauty: it’s super important to use the platform to speak on major issues, as well. It’s all about supporting each other!"

Q: When did you know this was something you wanted to do?

“When I was living in Kentucky, I wanted to get dressed up and take photos all the time and my friends always made fun of me for it, but Instagram was pretty new at the time so I didn’t really see it as a creative outlet then. Once I moved to Chicago, I started posting on Instagram just for fun. The first time a brand reached out to me, I was so excited and I couldn’t believe they wanted to work with me. I realized that if they wanted to work with me, maybe other brands would too, so I started posting more often. Then, when I moved to LA, I really focused on building relationships and working with more brands! I work full time Monday-Friday and then use Saturday & Sunday to focus on my collabs and shooting content!”

Q: What’s your favorite thing about your Instagram page?

“I’m super OCD in general, so I love that my page has a cohesive neutral vibe! It’s so fun to stick to a theme and I love planning my feed. It can definitely be more difficult that way but, in my opinion, it’s so worth it to see it all come together aesthetically.”

Q: When working from home, do you prefer a comfy lounge fit, or do you like to dress a little nicer as a way to stay motivated?

“I love love love a comfy lounge fit! If I'm wearing a matching set, I still feel like I have my life together even though I'm working from my couch in sweatpants lol.”

Q: With that, do you have a go-to work-from-home outfit?

“I have an insane amount of Prettylittlething matching lounge sets (naturally) so I basically rotate all of those.”

Q: What does self-care mean to you?

“Self care means taking care of yourself all around. Of course it involves skin care, face masks, and all of that fun stuff, but I think mental self care is insanely important too! Taking a bath, listening to your favorite song (anything Ariana Grande for me), and buying yourself fresh flowers are all great examples. I’ve basically always had anxiety so it’s super important for me to take time every week to just hang out, relax, and try to disconnect from everything for a little bit.”

Q: When do you know it’s time to do some self-care?

“I try to have a ‘self care day’ at least once a week, but I know I need some self care ASAP when I start to feel really overwhelmed and anxious. Even just taking a 15 minute break from work to breathe or putting on a face mask while answering emails can really help!”

Q: What’s your favorite part of your self-care routine?

“My favorite thing to do is put on a face mask, light a candle, have a glass of wine, and watch the office (I’ve seen all 9 seasons at least 15 times). I consider this self care because it’s the best way to wind down after a stressful day and it really helps both physically and mentally to just relax and enjoy your favorite things!”

Q: If you don’t have time for an extensive self-care routine, what’s one thing you always make sure you do?

“My mom taught me at a young age to take care of my skin, so I always make time for my skin care: face wash, toner, serums, face and eye cream, and a lip mask. I can’t start this routine without finishing it, which is probably partly because of my OCD haha.”

Q: What’s your favorite part of your skincare routine?

“I’m obsessed with serums! I always feel an immediate difference in my skin, especially when I use a cold roller to help them set in.” (shop our serums and crystal face roller  here)

Q: Out of what you’ve tried, what’s your favorite Paradox product and why?

“My favorite product is definitely the  Lucky Star Blemish Patches. They’re so easy to use and super cute, which is a bonus!”

Q: If there are products you haven’t tried yet, which one are you most excited to try and why?

“I really want to try the  Marrakech Liquid Gold! It just looks so luxurious and I haven’t tried anything like it.”
